A Week's Worth of Outfits Inspired by Rosie Butcher

I’ve been on a personal style journey for the greater part of my adult life. I’ve always been drawn to fashion and trends, hoarding Vogue magazines in my bedroom and begging my parents to buy me the newest issue any time they traveled to the states.

Growing up, the highlight of my year was going on a shopping spree to Limited Too (may it rest in peace) during the summer so I had clothes to wear throughout the school year.

In college I found ease and comfort in chic, preppy J Crew styles. Skinny tube jeans and tight-fitting pullover sweaters were the move most days. Couldn’t be me anymore, that’s for sure.

And for the past five years I’ve been kind of stumbling my way through different tastes and seasons, trying to figure out what cuts, colors and styles suit me best.

I recently discovered my newest (and possibly greatest, no shame) outfit/fashion inspo girly via Pinterest, Rosie Butcher. I’ve since followed her on Instagram and have been referring to her posts pretty much daily to figure out what to wear.

So without further ado, here’s a week’s (ish) worth of outfits inspired by miss Rosie Butcher.

Rosie somehow makes basics look so elevated in the simplest ways. I tried to take pieces that fit me well and that I love and just upgrade them a teeny bit. By throwing on a nicer top, a strappy shoe, or a blazer I was able to feel like I achieved at least a glimpse of the classic Butcher look. And with zero shame I will admit that I cut my own bangs (long ones, of course) because I realized I needed framing around my face like Rosie does. And honestly? I love them.
